What is the BYU Design Review?
Did your mother ever say “A place for everything and everything in its place?” Ours certainly did.
Without a doubt our rooms weren’t any cleaner as a result, but like our mothers, we’ve noticed there are good things lying around that don’t have a place. Some of these great items simply don’t have a home. They do now and it’s called the BYU Design Review.
The BYU Design Review is a collection of engineering-design-related ideas that aren’t quite long enough or rigorous enough for an academic journal but still worth publishing and sharing with the world. It’s a home for those verbal conversations that have considerable value and need to be written down for others to enjoy. It’s a home for design-related ideas, interviews, product reviews, and commentaries on design techniques that aren’t captured anywhere else but need to be heard, reviewed, and learned.
It’s written with accessibility in mind so that design enthusiasts of all types can benefit from the topics, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, or anyone else interested in engineering design.
We invite you to read some or all of the collections housed in the BYU Design Review. We publish weekly on Wednesday morning, and hope that you’ll subscribe to see the latest. Your comments on the publications are welcomed and encouraged, and can be sent to designreview@byu.edu.
